Last Few

These are the teacher cards for my son to take to school.

Finally Finished

I finally finished the cards I plan on mailing!

Christmas Cards

I am running so late with my cards this year. To give myself some credit though, this is the first year I have made all my cards. I have found that I like to color the images much more than I like actually making the cards themselves. Anyway these are the first ones I have delivered. They were for the people I work with.

Handmade Christmas present

My first attempt at tile photo coasters. I love the way they turned out. As a crafter I have to admit, this is my first use of mode podge. I hope she likes them.

First Snow

We had our first snow here in Martin Co Kentucky yesterday here are some pictures I took. Usually our first snow is flurries but this year we actually got snow.

I got to play with some toys!

I made this set of Christmas cards for my sister. She needed a few door prizes for a conference she is attending tomorrow so she asked me to make her a few things. For some reason when I uploaded the pictures some of them uploaded turned the wrong way. I used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders and some glitter glue on the card fronts. I got the idea from Billie on some of the yahoo groups I belong to. (Thanks for giving me something to scraplift Billie!)

I also made her these two friend word books. I finally took my bind it all out of the package and used it. I love it. Now I must make more things to bind.

I have seen several different projects lately using the glass block and vinyl. I tried vinyl months ago but couldn't figure out the settings for the "kiss" to leave the backing while cutting the vinyl. I am happy to say I finally figured it out. I used the Storybook cartridge to make the cutouts for the blocks.
I am very happy that I finally got to use some of the materials and tools I have purchased. I feel so much better when I use things instead of letting them just sit.

Turkey Day

2 additional Thanksgiving cards I made to send to other Copic Cabana friends.

Copic Cabana November Swap

In a yahoo group I belong to, we do monthly card swaps. This month we were to make 3 cards and send 2 of them to our swap partners and one to a girl in the military. The first card is for our military adoptee, Kylene, and the other two are for my partners. I received beautiful cards from both of my partners this week. The bottom two cards are made with CC Designs Pilgrims from http://allthatscraps.com. I found that when I color with my copic markers the colors were too bright for what I wanted so I went over them with gray markers and the original colors came through much more muted. I love the way they turned out. The boy in green looked more like a leprechan than a pilgrim when I first colored them. The gray really toned him down. I also used the grays over the girl in pink and the boy in blue. The purples were perfect so I didn't have to do anything to them.

More Halloween cards

Halloween is my favorite time of year. These cards were made with an image from C.C. Designs purchased from http://allthatscraps.com/.

Trick or Treat

This is Jonathan he is my nine year old. He went trick or treating as Lucas a Platinum Pokemon Trainer last night. They always have trick or treat a couple of days before Halloween here. It is supposed to keep down the mischief. His older brother and his wife took him to the safe house at the middle school for me.

This is my daughter-in-law, Noel. She is a skeleton.
This is my son, Dewey. He didn't really dress up so I took a pic of him making a face. I guess he was dressed as a homicidal manic. After all they do look like the rest of us.

Wedding Card

My oldest son is getting married in IL on Wed. I did up this cute card for him and his soon to be wife. Good luck to Dewey and Noel. The digi stamp is part of Pollycraft's Cherry Kisses line. I think they are so cute. I cut the wording out with my sizzix big shot. I purchased the sizzlits dies a while back on clearance.

Birthday Card for my Dad

Today is my Dad's 65th birthday! Happy Birthday Dad! I used a Victoria Case digi stamp and made him this cute card. We all got together at Pizza Hut (minus my oldest son who is on the way to IL at the moment).

Card for Helen

I had some fun this morning. I decided to make a card for my friend Helen. She spent last week in the hospital and was off work this week too. I missed her. Hopefully she will be back at work next week. So for the fun part, I made a card. I picked up some Sizzix texturz plates on clearance a little bit ago but until this morning I hadn't had time to play with them. I decided to pull them out and try them. I love them. They are so easy to use. I hand wrote the sentiment and cut it out and embossed it with my nestabilities and colored around the edge with a copic marker. I have been coloring some digi stamps lately to get ready for making card sets for Christmas gifts and used this cute stamp by Victoria Case (http://victoriacaseartdesigns.com/). She has some new stamps out. They are awesome and she has another new digi stamp release date of 9/23/09. I can't wait.

Another falling leaf card

I am doing 2 cards for a swap in one of my yahoo groups. This is the second card. The swap is to do cards to tell what you fall is to you. I love the changing colors of the leaves and watching them fall. They are so beautiful. Fall is my favorite time of year.

New Cards (Victoria Case digi's)

I have been playing with some Victoria Case digi stamps (victoriacaseartdesigns.com). I love the designs. New releases are due out on September 9th. I can't wait. This cutie might become a RAK for one of the yahoo groups. It is always nice to get mail. It makes smiles happen.

I am thinking of using this cutie (Victoria Case digi stamp) as a RAK for one of the yahoo groups I belong to. I have learned so much from the members. Of course I get enabled a lot to, but at least I know where to get stuff I will use at great prices.

I used a Victoria Case digi stamp to make cards for my son's teachers. They change classes this year from the beginning of the year. He is in the fourth grade this year. Usually they change classes toward the end of the year. I have been practicing with my copic markers. I love them.

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Halloween is around the corner. Oh my, so is my anniversary! My favorite holiday is Halloween and last year I married my sweetheart on Halloween. We are approaching our 1st Anniversary. I found this stamp at http://www.shophandmade.com/Store/Lindsay.

Falling Leaves

Fall is in the air and it has inspired me to create this card. Leaves in the area are turning colors and blowing around.

Wedding Pumpkins

I got married on Halloween so we had to have carved pumpkins. I carved these from the white pumpkins you can buy at Michael's. They aren't easy to carve. (At least not for me!) I think they turned out beautiful and we got so many wonderful comments from our wedding guests.

Card using crayola pencils

I used colored pencils to do this one. I also used one of my punches to do the flowers. The butterfly is a Dustin Pike design. I think the buttons make the flowers look so much better.
