I got to play with some toys!

I made this set of Christmas cards for my sister. She needed a few door prizes for a conference she is attending tomorrow so she asked me to make her a few things. For some reason when I uploaded the pictures some of them uploaded turned the wrong way. I used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders and some glitter glue on the card fronts. I got the idea from Billie on some of the yahoo groups I belong to. (Thanks for giving me something to scraplift Billie!)

I also made her these two friend word books. I finally took my bind it all out of the package and used it. I love it. Now I must make more things to bind.

I have seen several different projects lately using the glass block and vinyl. I tried vinyl months ago but couldn't figure out the settings for the "kiss" to leave the backing while cutting the vinyl. I am happy to say I finally figured it out. I used the Storybook cartridge to make the cutouts for the blocks.
I am very happy that I finally got to use some of the materials and tools I have purchased. I feel so much better when I use things instead of letting them just sit.

Turkey Day

2 additional Thanksgiving cards I made to send to other Copic Cabana friends.

Copic Cabana November Swap

In a yahoo group I belong to, we do monthly card swaps. This month we were to make 3 cards and send 2 of them to our swap partners and one to a girl in the military. The first card is for our military adoptee, Kylene, and the other two are for my partners. I received beautiful cards from both of my partners this week. The bottom two cards are made with CC Designs Pilgrims from http://allthatscraps.com. I found that when I color with my copic markers the colors were too bright for what I wanted so I went over them with gray markers and the original colors came through much more muted. I love the way they turned out. The boy in green looked more like a leprechan than a pilgrim when I first colored them. The gray really toned him down. I also used the grays over the girl in pink and the boy in blue. The purples were perfect so I didn't have to do anything to them.

More Halloween cards

Halloween is my favorite time of year. These cards were made with an image from C.C. Designs purchased from http://allthatscraps.com/.

Trick or Treat

This is Jonathan he is my nine year old. He went trick or treating as Lucas a Platinum Pokemon Trainer last night. They always have trick or treat a couple of days before Halloween here. It is supposed to keep down the mischief. His older brother and his wife took him to the safe house at the middle school for me.

This is my daughter-in-law, Noel. She is a skeleton.
This is my son, Dewey. He didn't really dress up so I took a pic of him making a face. I guess he was dressed as a homicidal manic. After all they do look like the rest of us.

Wedding Card

My oldest son is getting married in IL on Wed. I did up this cute card for him and his soon to be wife. Good luck to Dewey and Noel. The digi stamp is part of Pollycraft's Cherry Kisses line. I think they are so cute. I cut the wording out with my sizzix big shot. I purchased the sizzlits dies a while back on clearance.
